several city agencies, including san francisco public works and the transportation authority, worked together to install that beacon. all right. the jewel of the east san jose is about to get a major makeover. the city announced today an $850,000 federal grant that will allow it to revitalize lake cunningham park. that will include a new water filtration process that would allow people to swim and boat on the lake again. experts say right now, the water is too contaminated with fecal matter from geese and dogs. city leaders kicked off the park rehab project today by removing some of the invasive, non-native plants around the lake. the park's bathrooms are also going to get an upgrade, which city leaders say they need. i'm leaning in and i'm going full steam ahead on making sure that i do everything possible to bring back lake cunningham to how i remember it as a kid. now, the grant will bring the lake back to life, but upkeep will require annual funding. city leaders are hoping that will be paid for in part by some state and federal grants moving forward. is it friday yet? not yet, b
