al franken was at the very beginning of this, the senator from minnesota who resigned under pressure democrats. but since the trump era has ended and the biden america began, here is an opportunity for democrats to put down their marker of how they will handle accusations of sexual harassment in their own ranks. i think what you are seeing is pressure on the governor. first of all, to agree to the attorney general investigating, which he has agreed to. you are starting to see democratic legislators calling for him to resign. i think, i as this move forward, you may see more people announcing that. the biggest political hurdle for cuomo, the biggest question mark is, does he run for a fourth term, and can he run for a fourth term? or, are we going to be talking about a resignation? judy: to tam, a lot of people are asking, is this the kind of thing he can survive? he says he is not going anywhere, but these accusations have now reached a level, as amy says, a number of proment state democrats are calling on him to step down. tamara: i think democrats are still, as amy said, trying to

handoff on this from the president to the vice president, kamala harris, remember she called for al frankenenator before a foreign ethics investigation was had. do you have a sense of why? >> reporter: it's a good question because governor cuomo wakes up this morning as a man without many political friend after you know the bulk of the new york delegation and two senators call on him to resign for sexual harassment and unwanted touching. he is not alone. it appears that biden is giving him time, reflecting what cuomo, himself, is calling for, calling on new yorkers to wait for these investigations to play out into the allegations and then to make their decision. that is a position, though, a lot of democrats have previously and in recent days it has proved too much for many of these democrats from new york to hold that position. biden again is not alone. nancy pelosi over the weekend said something similar, gave cuomo that time. take a listen to what she had to say. >> i do think the women deserve to hear the results of these investigation as does the governor. >> you are not calling on him

i think folks who did jump out on al franken, senate democrat, would say that's a different case and there were more allegations. but this does get a larger issue for the party. during the trump era, democrats positioned themselves as defenders of me too and that was a good position to have, particularly as defenders of president trump. now there's been concerns even within the party that the party moved too quickly to oust some of their own and some of that dynamic is playing right now with governor cuomo. but what we are seeing is with every new accuser as allegations come out from more and more women, i think that position gets harder for democrats to hold to. i think it does start to be some momentum building for a resignation at the very least that he won't run for a fourth term or possibility of some kind of impeachment. i think those latter two things are the things many folks that still support cuomo are more concerned about. but momentum does seem to be building for some kind of action against him and the question really becomes how long he can fend this off for. >> and anot
