fredericksburg right now 73. take a look at the highs today. down to the south. 80 in fredericksburg. 83 in charlottesville. even 80 up toward martinsburg so a very warm afternoon. we saw plenty of sunshine before the rain moved on in and it did move in and now it's moving on out of here. down to the south in through portions of southern maryland just some shower activity right around frederick. that's the area we're seeing some of the heaviest rain back through southern portions of culpepper county back toward madison and orange county, too. we'll continue to see those showers moving through i-95 around fredericksburg so if you're not seeing it now you'll see it in about the next 15 to 20 minutes once again just a brief, moderate to heavy shower and it will continue to move out. the whole line shifting very slowly to the south now so if you're around the fredericksburg area maybe culpepper and charlottesville you will see more shower activity throughout the rest of the evening tonight. the thunderstorms however dying off as they move to the ea

in this is the one drifting up towards fredericksburg. this line is just west of us, but since the movement of this line is more to the northeast than to the east, it will take quite a while for this to get over on top of us and look back to the west closer to the center of the storm, more thunderstorms are blossoming. that's what's going to happen tomorrow. so i think tomorrow we'll kind of have periods of some showers. we'll wake up to some showers and then they'll just pass through from time to time tomorrow in the afternoon maybe some thunderstorms. this is why. center of the storm system is back to the west of us. it has been moving so slowly the last several days, but it gets close enough to us overnight tonight and tomorrow to bring some rain all up and down the east coast, down into the deep south. we'll have thunderstorms. we'll have some showers, too. tomorrow we're still kind of on the warmest side of this storm. so even with the clouds and showers we'll be in the lower 70s, upper 60s to lower 70s, but it will be wet tomorrow.
