and won't do anything as far as warming us up and the temperatures dropping back down below the freezing mark between 5 and 7:00 this evening here in blacksburg and there you go staying well below freezing as we go through the overnight. if you do need to be driving later this evening and certainly first thing tomorrow morning, watch out. there could be black ice out there on the roads. here in roanoke we started in the 40s but down to 37 now with that northwest wind at 10 mph. the pressure on the rise as high pressure starts to work its way on into the region. that will help to clear us out a little bit. again, that sunshine not doing much to warm us up and lo between 7 and 8:00 and start to drop down below the freezing mark and stay there as we go through the overnight. so again, widespread temperatures down below the freezing mark tonight will lead to the potential for more black ice out on the roads as many of us will all be above the freezing mark as we go throughout the day today which will again promote that melting of the snow. then you can start to see the grass peeking out on the sp
