looking at a live picture from saint-denis, france. police and military have been out here for several hours this morning. in this area, now french officials say there is an apartment and inside that apartment may be the mastermind of friday's attack in paris. whether or not police got him yet that is unknown but this raid is still under way. as we mentioned it is starting to wrap up here. we still see a lot of activity, a lot of police and military presence. two people are dead including a woman who blew herself up in a suicide vest as police moved in. it was a dramatic scene as the gun fire erupted earlier this morning. a french official with knowledge said scores of police stormed the apartment building and were met with unexpectedly violent resistance. and the people inside were heavily armed. schools and businesses in the area have closed because of this and neighbors heard constant gun fire and explosions for about a full hour as police clashed with the people inside that apartment. as i mentioned we are still getting new informa

following all of this from saint-denis kelly koeb yell la and i'm joined by the former director of homelandrity. kelly, what's the very latest from there? >> reporter: well, jose, french police say they were tracking a woman with possible terrorist connections and that's what led them to this neighborhood in saint-denis, this northern paris suburb. we're now hearing from a former intelligence official confirming that abaaoud was in fact the target of this incredible huge overnight raid in this neighborhood and the same source says that phone tapping gave them the information that abaaoud was in the apartment in question at the time, that's why they moved so quickly in the dead of night, not alerting any of the neighborhoods or evacuating anyone from the neighborhood, just going in with helicopters, a massive show of force, stun grenades and explosions, you've heard about it before. this was a nearly eight-hour operation before it was all said and done. and now we're hearing from another source that neither abaaoud nor salah abdeslam was inside. again, neither abaaoud nor abdeslam, the two m
