frostburg 2 1/2 inches of snowfall there. and into dc, an inch and a half. running brook over that 2 inches in st. mary's. and spotsylvania was the winer with 3.5 inches of snow. 3 1/2 inch of snowfall. maryland's most powerful radar is looking pretty good if you like the dry weather. today we have all five storms and we are not dealing with snowfall but plenty sunshine. mount airy temperature is very cold. see freezing on the roads. very slick out there. so 19 degrees. not dealing too much with the wind and we like to see that as well. let's head over to kim brown with your traffic. good morning, kim. what's going on with the road. >> reporter: we are keeping an eye especially some of the neighborhood and some of the side streets this morning as you look at the bot off the screen. you will notice a lot of the area school systems are delayed or closed. as we look now at 95, we don't have a problem from the big roadways. you can see the occasional icy patch. but for the most part they did a good job of getting the major highways cleared. looking at the maps,

frostburg, 2 1/2. no surprise there. but look some other spots. south reagan international, inch and a half. damascus, two inches. virginia, 3 1/2. they got whacked today with the snow. so again, other than lower part of delmarva, most of the snow clearing out. we'll see passing snowshowers the rest of the night. as the whole storm continues to head out to sea. that's a good thing. briefly dryer, clearer weather tomorrow but it doesn't hold. take a look at our future-cast. that storm heads out to sea, some sunshine tomorrow, cold day but the sun should still help the melt off some of that snow. even with temps at or below freezing. future-cast in the saturday night, here's that approaching coastal storm just beginning to get its act together. that will track up the coast, we think right now we'll stay just offshore, meaning more of a snow than couple inches down in the eastern shore in delmarva, maybe just snowshowers in baltimore. but closer up the coast, we'll mean a little more snow for us. we'll wait and see. take another day to get clarity on

and garrett county, and frostburg, it's a totally different story. take a look at the advisories out there, from frostburg west. tonight through tomorrow. yeah, probably into wednesday. they have a winter storm warning for as much as 8 or more inches of snow. they have already seen snow. and it continues from time to time with this lake-effect ban coming sponaregion. -- into that region. primarily from frostberg west. that may be scattered snow showers. maybe into the baltimore region. although most of the time, and during the previous episodes of these lake-effect squalls, by the time they get to mountains, they dry out. so we get a few scattered flurries. it's possible, one of those little clouds could make it into the region and cause the dusting in a few spots. gusts over 35 miles an hour. current temp, 27 now. 29 in pax river. 33, just above freezing, ocean city. but it's only 9 above zero in oakland. now, in oakland, the wind is still blowing at 21 miles an hour. and it's snowing out there. okay? so you got temperatures below 10 degrees. 21-mil

frostburg out in western maryland picked up 2 1/2, not on here, harrisonburg, virginia picked up 3 inches of snow and definitely anything over 3 inches was to the south of us, a little bit more than 2 inches there for alexandria. let me show you the big picture radar tonight, still some lingering rain shower activity down into the carolinas. there's a little bit of snow up to the northwest there. that's going to calm down. don't expect to see any of that. we just have clearing skies out there tonight. we'll see some sunshine tomorrow and we will get above freezing. so that's going to help to melt this out a bit with the sun and warmer temperatures, but until then temperatures dipping down into the single digits overnight tonight. do be careful early in the morning. you'll need to be. >> i feel a down comforter coming on. thank you. >>> all that snow and ice making a mess of the roads in maryland. it was slow going during the height of today's snow and fox 5's roz plater is live tonight in forestville. what are the conditions like there? >> reporter: the primary roads are pretty good shape

that may carry flurries but you will see a break in the cloud between frederick and back towards frostburgo we won't stay cloudy all day long at least on this side of the bay. because of this cluster, looks like possibly on the lower eastern shore you have to deal with this and wrap around pushing into the earlier mid afternoon. cold air has pushed down into the deep south. we are watching flurries in central georgia this morning and that cold blast will extend all the way down through florida tonight. and this possibility possibility that the temperatures hit freezing in miami tomorrow morning. that's an impressive cold shot. couple disturbances swinging through enhancing the snow showers and we will have one more swinging through here tomorrow afternoon. but until then, it's this. we have a low to mid-30s. a lot of it into the upper 20s and staying there. but because of the dusting to an inch on the eastern show, gusty winds it's going to feel like the teens and 20s. and shouldn't be a travel issue. tonight we drop back to 19. still flurries and still gusty winds up to 20 miles per hour.
