here's the futurecast. for anyone with plans to hit tahoe this weekend, this is what you can enjoy, another possibly 13 inches expected at donner summit. southlake 4 inches. that's on top of what they already got overnight. so we saw cool video of the snow that came down overnight. right now, it's all winding down moving to the south near mammoth lakes and yosemite but we are going to see more moisture on the way so we are getting a second wave. that's what's also going to impact us later on this afternoon in the form of isolated thunderstorms and more rainfall. right now the rain is coming down through healdsburg and it looks to be winding down a little bit there just a lot less of the intensity and then you can also see this rain- slush mix. it's cold enough at the top of the mountains across the north bay that it's causing an icy mix. and then guerneville also this cell has been staying over you for the past 20 minutes or so bringing down a decent amount of rainfall but it seems to be just in the north b

so futurecast actually shows this fog. it's all through the valley locations, sacramento and san joaquin valleys and you can see how it's going to hang around the bay through 11 a.m. this morning and hopefully it will burn off by your lunch break and we'll start to see some high clouds coming through this afternoon and yes, the rain chances will increase late tonight. so we'll start to see rain rolling in by about 9:00, 10:00, it will impact the north bay and then through the rest of the bay area but that dense fog advisory in effect for central california until 10 a.m. >>> right now we are tracking showdowns along 101. this is due to overnight roadwork that caltrans had in place. slowdowns so they are running late with the pickup. they have a due tour. all the southbound 101 lanes shut down at willow road. detours they have traffic exiting at marsh road and then you can re-enter 101 using the university avenue on-ramp there but that's an extra 10 minutes on your trip so heads up for drivers heading through menlo park. hat
