nbc's gabe gutierrez outside the hospital where amber is being treated.an you tell us about the timeline of when ms. vinson may have had symptoms and when she traveled. >> reporter: hi, craig. we are learning more from the cdc about when her symptoms began. they say they can't rule out she may have gotten sick on october 10th, when she first flew from dallas to ohio to plan her upcoming we hadding with her family. what they do say now, according to the cdc official on the ground in ohio, is that she felt funny but didn't show any specific symptoms at the time. so, that's why they're looking into it. again, they say she didn't show any symptoms when she went to this bridal shop in ohio over the weekend. out of an abundance of precaution, that bridal shop shut down out of an abundance of caution. and authorities have identified 60 people she came into contact with and they're monitoring them very closely. although, again, they are not sick. again, they're trying to track down some of the airline passengers that may have flown with her on that first flight f

joining me with the latest, gabe gutierrez in charlottesville. what happened in court?ood morning. reporters were assembled in court. matthew's attorney was not there, and learned as you mentioned moments ago that that court hearing on this reckless driving charge had been postponed until december. the hearing on the abduction charge had been postponed yesterday, also until december. as you mentioned, there's a lot of developments in the case. officials at another university say that matthew was investigated but not charged more than a decade ago, in connection with sexual assault allegations. liberty university previously reported in 2002 matthew has been investigated but not charged. now christopher newport university says after matthew transferred there, he was investigated back in 2003 on accusations of sexual assault, but again, he was not charged. there's still a lot of questions about his past. state police a few days ago had confirmed they were investigating a forensic link, there was forensic link linking him to a disappearance of morgan harrington. they previo

gabe gutierrez joins us live. what is the latest on our condition? >> good morning. her condition at emery university hospital is not updating this morning. we're hearing from her uncle, he released a statement and i'll read from it now. our family has been overwhelmed with support and love for amber and our extended family over the last 72 hours. we thank you for those prayers and well wishes. amber is stable, and we're continuing to work with her doctors as her treatment progresses. doctor chris braiden from the cdc told reporters yesterday she's not very well. you hear her uncle saying she's stable. this morning, as you mentioned, the cdc is scrambling to identify any commercial airline passengers that might have come into contact with amber vincent. the cdc said they cannot rule out she may have had ebola symptoms as early as friday. that is earlier than they first thought. you may recall she flew on friday from dallas to ohio to visit her family and plan a wedding and flew back to dallas on monday. she did call the cdc on monday and self-reported that temperatur

gabe, the patient is on the way to atlanta. how are they preparing? >> reporter: hey there. we're expecting that patient in a little over two hours here at emory university hospital. about a two-hour flight from dallas love field to the atlanta area. the patient is, we're told, expected to arrive at the airport, different than the previous patients who have come to emory hospital. this airport is about 15 minutes or so from the hospital. the patient will then be transported here to emory university hospital. emory, as you know, has been very busy over the last couple months and they have a lot of experience in this. they're one of four isolation units. the one here at emory is one of four throughout the country. and they've treated three ebola patients so far. however, all of them had been flown from west africa so this would be the first patient infected here in the u.s. that would come to emory university hospital. those patients were dr. kent brantly, nancy writebol and an unidentified third patient who continues to recover. so they're very used to dealing with this. they

nbc's gabe gutierrez joins me live now from charlottesville, virginia. at this point, any idea when we might see the autopsy results from the human remains found this weekend? >> good morning. we're not sure when we might see those results but the identification could come as early as today. however, the overall forensic investigation is expected to take at least several weeks. today, investigators will be back at what is now considered a crime scene, this rural area where that disturbing discovery was made. in recent days, they had targeted their search before making that grim discovery. as you mentioned, now the, medical examiner, to look at those remains and see if it might be hannah graham. she vanished on september 13th, more than five weeks ago. jesse matthew was arrested and charged with her abduction. he has not yet ernt entered a p. his attorney says he will wait to make a further comment until these remains are identified. they were found near an area where matthew used to live at some point. and also about less than five miles away from where

nbc's gabe gutierrez joins me now. first, let's start with ms. vinson's condition, what have we heard of late? >> reporter: she was described as ill but clinically stable. however, emory hospital is not commenting on her condition. we know she is here in the isolation unit, one of four throughout the country. here is a bit of a timeline over the past few days, how this became known. now, she flew from dallas to ohio on friday to visit her family and to plan her wedding. now, she did call, as you mentioned she did call the cdc on monday and self-reported she had a fever of 99.5 degrees. however, a federal government official says she was not told not to board the flight because the risk threshold is 100.4 degrees. however, the cdc director said she should never have boarded that aircraft. >> and gabe, overnight, frontier airlines on which she traveled said they were notified by the cdc that ms. vinson may have had symptoms earlier than first thought, and may have possessed the symptoms while on board the frontier flight. and there were questions a
