garvin thomas has a story about the kindness of strangers in facebook fashion. >> david perez says the home a couple doors down had been occupied by renters until a few months ago when the homeowner moved back in. david says they hadn't had a chance to get to know each other. well, they know each other now, as well as a little bit about the kindness of strangers. it was a great day on murphy court. all thanks to a bad view. >> you can see above the garage. >> reporter: that view was of david perez's house two doors down. hard to watch him trying to remove his home. feeling sorry for somebody that age to be up there trying to do it himself. >> reporter: problem was david knew next to nothing about roofing. but he did know a little about social media. snuck a picture of the neighbor, posted it on facebook, asking anyone who knew anything about roofing if they wanted to come by saturday to help. his picture was shared more than a thousand times. still, he was worried people wouldn't show up at 9:00 a.m. he was right to be worried. they showed up earlier. >> i looked out at 7:30, people we
