it's the gary pappa 5k run and walk.med after our beloved colleague gary who lost his battle with prostate cancer five years ago. amy buckman joins us live from eakens over where the run/walk is underway. amy. >> reporter: what a great morning, what a perfect day, i think gary up in heaven must have been talking to our accuweather folks because it couldn't be more beautiful. these are the people who have finished their 5. k walk and run. it is not over yet. we have a live camera at the finish line, there you can see hundreds of people wrapping up their walks all to raise money and raise awareness of prostate cancer. this is the 12th year for the father's day's run raise money for breast and prostate health. ever since 6abc beloved sports director gary pappa succumbed to pro state cancer, the run and walk was named in his honor. >> before he passed away this was a much smaller affair. when he died before the race everybody came out to honor him. i think he would be honored and amaze that everybody was here on father's day
