there was video surveillance at the gas station showing the attack as it unfolded. the problem with that video taken from the spinx gas station off hard scrabble road --- was that nobody could identify either suspect. that's because the men authorities believe are in that video 20 year old ibn gadson and 22 year old ryan alston are both from eutawville. investigators say both men drove men drove up to columbia --- and were scoping out their victims at the gas station. they then got into davis's car demanding money and when a struggle ensued, they fired on davis and another person he was with. davis died at the scene. lott says dna evidence taken from the door handle of the car led his department directly to ibn gadson. without it he says getting a break in the case would have been difficult. the crash then happened as the car swerved over toward a gas station. and the video we have shows two vehicles on their side in an area where people would normally be fueling up at this gas station. the entire area closed off for the investigation. we haven't been told this but we can confirm that at least one person is dead. debris all through the road and the area where these cars came to rest here after colliding. one of them hitting a power pole. we've seen in other crashes power pole versus the strength to split a vehicle in two. it doesn't appear that happened in this case but one vehicle badly damaged after colliding with a power pole and the other badly damaged an side. we don't know how many people were in each vehicle or if one or both vehicles were being pursued by police. believe this happened around 3:30 this morning. we're awaiting information from metro about what they are saying about who was inside, how this happened and why. we'll learn more of that this morning and bring it to you live on "wake up with the wagners." i'll send it back

we've seen them coming into this parking lot of this gas station. moments earlier on today as we still are following on sky 10, but we did see dangerous moments, guys willing u-turns in the middle of intersections with riders weaving in and out of traffic, hopping curbs. just talking to these police, it is frustrating for them becau at the end of the day you're talking about big groups, dozens of these riders and only a few cops out here. again, they're on standby b they're not going to stop any of these guys unless they are committing a forcible offense. so as police remain out here, they are continuing to monitor the roads. but i know just spepeing with drivers, especially in the past, this is notot something they want to see, especially it is a holiday today, but a lot of people still headed to work, and as rush hour begins to pick up, when you have these bikers weaving in and out of traffic, it is obviously a recipe for disaster. so we're going to continue to follow this story out here as you continue to get a look at what's going on from sky 10

gas station clerk killed in october 2011. abc fighting back against crime investigator jennifer donelan has the big break in the case and why the suspect is not being charged as an adult. jennifer: 37-year-old mohammed abduselam was not supposed to be at work when he was killed. the family told the newspaper reporter after the 2011 murder he immigrated to the united states four years prior from ethiopia. and said that particular october night he had stayed on at the gas station to help a coworker with a gas register. last night, the d.c. police reported they solved his murder. the person they say was holding the gun was a 14-year-old boy. >> i'm not surprised. jennifer: why not? >> because of the neighborhood. i lived around here for years. there has been a lot of good and bad. >> police say the 14-year-old walked in the gas station and wis to whipped an -- pistol whipped an employee. stole cash and fired the gun and the bullet struck abduselam, killing him. >> the investigators never stopped working. >> they credit the foren
