here's 11 news reporter george lettis with more on what happened. chaos in west baltimore... this morning, 49-year-old broderick bennett of baltimore county has being charged with armed robbery, 1st and 2nd degree assault and other charges related to the pursuit. the stabbing victim is expected to be okay. federal investigators are now calling the alleged prostitution ring-- run by a baltimore city firefighter-- a conspiracy. and investigators say it stretched far beyond the city limits. 11 news told you back in july when the charges were first filed... the f-b- i--raided a baltimore city warehouse and uncovered an underground prostitution ring--allegedly run by 30 year old jamar simmons. now: we're learning it went far beyond the warehouse. federal investigators are calling it a conspiracy--they say simmons and another man would transport women to at least seven other states--as far as south dakota--for sex. some of them... younger than18 years old. simmons has been indicted by a federal grand jury, he remains suspended from the department, without pay. three men are behind
