this line of showers right here approaching gilroy as we speak. we also have this cell right here which is sitting just south of point, raise working its way northward. and there you go. your first lightning to strike detected from that one. we've likely seen lightning already. just not having been detected yet as its offshore, but about to work its way on into point, raise this upper elevation area between sonoma valley and napa valley. also seeing some light to moderate rainfall this morning. little bit of good news coming out of the sierra nevada. containment is growing on the oak fire and less and less smoke being put up from that blaze. that means an improvement in our air quality, at least as far as that goes, we're still scorching hot inland bakersfield in reading the next couple of days reaching the triple digits and where in the meantime, mostly only in the 80's here in the bay area are very warmest. can see those spots of shower activity likely this morning. i'll keep you updated on that as we move into the latter part of the day, though
