good morning, janine. >> reporter: good morning, dave. 30 minutes people who live in these two apartment complexes behind me have been let back into their apartments. now, the one that you are looking at right now, i just went back there and found that three apartment units have been boarded up. one of them is where authorities discovered two bodies and where that strong odor was coming from. residents here are shocked to learn that two of their neighbors were found deceased here. they are wondering what that strong smell was. people who live in those two apartment complexes on california street called authorities yesterday at around 6:00 p.m. after smelling that strong odor nearly 60 people were evacuated and found shelter at the community center. the red cross said fire crews vented the apartment and pg&e was called to turn off the gas as a precaution. once it was safe to enter, fire crews discovered the two bodies inside one of the units. fire officials confirm that a suicide note was found on the door, but police are not saying what t
