i've seen the entire budget be spent simply on removing graffiti from the public art. it's important for us as a city to do something about it is a serious problem. instead in developing this legislation i didn't want to follow a path by those who view every crime as a opportunity for yet a harsher punishment but instead we've researched the jurisdiction including new york and san diego to develop a plan that will provide better outcomes for graffiti offenders that there are many pieces of the puzzle. two parts includes administrator fixes and elective fix or so we estimate over 90 percent of the graffiti in san francisco are from serial offenders. pursueing a criminal tag is really an effective you use of resources but the criminal courts have approved the inappropriate approval for the same tag they've over taxed and the burden of beyond a rose bowl double is hard. civil courts require a preponderance of evidence and recognition that a unique tag is the signature of a specific offender. so our task is to collect and occur rat and employ the preponderance of the evide

graffiti abatement across the city and giving funding to community groups to clean up graffiti and also includes giving a grant to the san francisco police department to use cameras to take pictures to document and track graffiti vandals and data base. i'm not sure what happened with that project, but i was working with officer puts at the time at the police department. i have been with the chamber since 2012. i work with san francisco partners and community groups everyday and work with different sizes and deal with the challenges and certainly graffiti is one of those, and i will work with to get input and i believe i will be an effective advocate on the san francisco advisory board and i also happen to live in saint mary's park and i have raised my son there and i have to deal on a personal level with graffiti issues. that neighborhood has gotten much better. it's a personal issue to me as i'm a resident of san francisco. i have a lot to give to the city and the graffiti advisory board and i have a lot to offer. >>supervisor norman yee: thank you. any questions? supervisor campos? >>
