green. i want you to take to you marin and the richmond-san rafael bridge f.nd we're starting to see some of the showers moving into the sunset district in san francisco. some of the light rain rolling through now, what it looks like way out there in the pacific as we've seen it working north to south. it's also kicking up high waves along the coastline and it's made it very dangerous. there's this high surf advisory that continues until 11:00 tomorrow evening and some of those breakers may come up as high as over 25 feet. that is so dangerous. and those seas look so angry as you're looking along the coastline. you want to stay well away from the water. we've seen the high winds picking up as we go to noon today. check out santa rosa, san francisco. those winds are over 40 miles an hour. those high winds could knock some things over, so you do want to be really careful out there today as the storm system comes through. not a lot of rain but definitely some high winds. those winds gradually start to calm down. some of the waves of heavier rain move through the

marin. let's move on. i want you to see what's going to happen with rainfall now through wednesday. it's going to look so busy. watch all these blobs of green showing up on the side of your screen monday into tuesday into wednesday. the pattern is it all wants to stay too far north. come in closer. look at the bay area. look at the specific timeframe when we might get grazed by some rain tuesday. that gets us into tuesday late afternoon. maybe a few showers for the far north bay. mendocino will get rain out of that. ukiah, 0.10 of an inch of rain. that was it. that may be our last chance for a while. you'll see in the 7-day forecast, things are really going to start quieting down. do we get anything measurable on tuesday? we'll take it from just after midnight and play it forward. the rain gauge doesn't budge anywhere else. i'm not going to show you the south bay because there's nothing doing down there. we looked at this at the top. there are powerful storms out here. if we watch the futurecast, we saw how a majority of the energy is going to get pulled away from us and distributeen to the north. here's a promising looking storm. in order

green areas on your map this morning. you see especially the coast but also bayside portions of sonoma and marin counties affected by thoseo that's really the biggest thing to note if you're closer to the coastline today if you're further inland, it's the dense fog advisories. we have for solano county into the central valley as we do have some pockets of dense fog that have already formed from or in county through sonoma county on over into the delta and eventually the central valley, east bay south bay peninsula all looking really solid visibility just fine and all these areas now into the afternoon today skies will clear out high pressure in place going to keep us dry a much different week ahead of us in that regard compared to where we were last week when it was on and off area of shower after some sunshine and then a return of sunshine. it was that pattern that we almost got used to last week this week, it's just increasingly warm conditions under what will be dry skies tomorrow and wednesday a little cloudier but showers will stay to our north up along the north coast of the state. so bay area really missing out on

some of the city leaders here in marin county reaching tout governor newsom, asking him to allow them to reinstate that outdoor dining. that letter asking for that green light to go forward with outdoor dining was sent to the governor last week. city leaders wrote the letter, explaining cases in the county have gone up since outdoor dining was shut down and the act of eating outside in a ventilated space is safer than shopping. public health experts explained that dining between more than one household is still a very high risk activity. so, just how much is marin feeling the pinch financially of this pandemic? data collected by research with harvard university inside tracker says the number of small businesses in the county has decreased 37%, january till the end of the year, december 30th, 2020. another sign that businesses in the county are struggling, by looking at the amount of revenue. same researchers say revenue in the county dropped by 45% within that same timeframe. hearing those numbers you can understand why some of those business owners are so upset and really kind of nervous about the state of their business. now so far we've not heard w
