so the, the boat actually was named greenpeace. before greenpeace was founded. the organisation was officially founded on september 15th 1971, vancouver corner at maple street and west 4th avenue. over where it now says spank greenpeace had their 1st office. one room with a table, a few chairs, and a telephone connection. there really wasn't enough space for everybody. so right across the street from us on 4th avenue was the bimini pub, which over early we would sit up stairs in the pub with the window that looked right across to where our office was. this is when we were planning the whale campaign. if someone wanted to interview us, we invite them to come to the pub, but we looked right across the street to our office. if one of us gets a phone call at the office, the, the, our office manager in the office would just come to the window of the pub scream across the street, phone for whomever, for me or for barbara for somebody. and we just run down the pipe run across the street, get the phone call, do our phone business, come back back to the back to our table
