gregg jarrett has been studying the legal possibilities there. what do you think, greg?a dozen columns since the day after robert mueller was appointed. i point to the special counsel statue. it's specific. it says if you have a personal relationship with somebody substantially involved in the case, that would be comey, you shall not serve as special counsel. it's mandatory language. it's the same language in the canon of ethics that dictates what lawyers and prosecutors can and cannot do. it goes on to define what a personal relationship is. friendship likely to induce partiality. you might as well put a picture of mueller and comey next to the statue. they're the definition of a personal relationship. long-time friends, allies and partners. a mentor, protege relationship. how could americans be assured that this process is fair and partial and devoid of bias, not with mueller in the seat? >> neil: let's go all the way to say he does resign or the president looks at the other cases that would get a crisis if the president fired the guy. they'll have another investigator
