(vicki) new at nine... take a look at this adorable kitten that was rescued yesterday. deputies found the feline after receiving a call that a cat was being abused. they followed the kitten's wailing to a home. when no one answered the front door... the deputies climbed a fence... and found the kitten. authorities say the animal's paw was caught in a trap... and it was badly injured. the deputies released the kitten... and stayed with it until animal control arrived. unfortunately... because the kitten was underweight and could not eat on it's own... it had to be euthanized. authorites say the trap was in a koi pond... they are investigating whether or not that is legal.
