harry hairston has been following these developments for some time now. harry, we know that two of fattah's former associates pleaded guilty in federal cases last year and at the time it looked like that fattah the congressman was the actual focus of this probe. now we have this wide-ranging 29-count indictment for racketeering. can you boil this all down for us here? >> i can tell you back in 2007 when fattah had that fated attempt to run for mayor, he lost that and had taken that $1 million loan. that's basically the nucleus of it. he was able to pay back as you heard, $400,000 of that loan. but the vefs-h investigation began when the feds believed he misappropriated money to pay back. by misappropriate rating that money, they say he tried to cover up by giving that money back paying back that loan, and doing it through charitable organizations. that, they say, was a form of misappropriation. last year two of his associates were indicted and pled guilty. their sentencing has been constantly pushed back. it's been the belief for many they were talking to
