highly recommend this book i also have a book by hampton newsome called richmond must fall. this is about the action after fort harrison in the fall of 1864 fascinating book very well done. and then i have the bible if you will, it's called rich and redeemed. i'm not sure you can make it out. all right. siege of petersburg by richard summers -- summers the famous historian. this is actually his phd dissertation. he was a fine to manish every one of me a true gentleman and a great historian. he wrote this book for dissertation. it's not the easiest read i'll caution you. but the information is fantastic the footnotes are fantastic, and if you really enjoyed you really want to research this topic. the richmond battlefield park library we have his dissertation in five volumes. the footnotes alone are worth traveling to richmond to see this is a great book. i highly recommend it. and with ti'm very glad to be hs afternoon and it is my pleasure to introduce first hour featured speaker. christopher capozzola who was a professor of history at the massachusetts institute of technolo
