we've got you covered live from the t-h media newsroom in dubuque, brad hanson, kwwl news. there may be a green iowa has site near you. in addition to dubuque@county, they have office in black hawk, linn and winneshiekkounties. new at ten -- police arrest a woman accused of shooting another wowoan in eastern iowa. it happened in the 38-hundred block of 20th avenue sw in cedar rapids thursday morning. 30-year-old jil sodahl is charged with attempted murder. after the shooting, police found a handgun in a pond at jones park, which they believe was used in the shooting. the victim's injuries are non- life-threatening. cedar rapids police also arresting three people following a home invasion and stabbing. it happened early wednesday morning at 59 dartmouth street sw in cedar rapids. a 20-year-old suffered a non- life-threatening stab wouu. 20-year-old austin holtan and 21- year-old michael jurenic have since been arrested and charged with robbery and burglary. 19-year-old nickola glisic was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. continuing coverage -- police no

but there has been some confusion--what is the process and kwwl's brad hanson learning more about that process today--brad joins us live now from the t-h media newsroom in dubuque with more. i spoke with a local gun shop owner who says his business has also been picked up recently. but he also said there can be quite a bit of confusion among first time buyers about what the process actually is. there's no doubt things have been a bit busy at the gun (ken freiburger, the gun depot owner) "the sales have been real heavy, and a lot of need for a gun in their house." but freiburger says there can be quite a bit confusion around what the current laws: to buy a handgun, you have to be 21, and you have to get either a conceal and carry permit or permit to acquire--both of those done through your local sheriff's office. then you have to show the seller a valid driver's license with a you have to be 18-years old, have a valid driver's license with picture, and be able to (brad hanson, @bhansonkwwl) "a law change back in 2011 meant the dubuque county conceal/carry applications then. now, 5 years

brad hanson from with more. the uss iowa has turned into hawkeye central thursday as nearly 20,000 fans have descended on the battleship. organizers say they originally planned for only about 1,000 people. but of course, word got out about the rally and it was announced at wednesday's hawkeye huddle. that means hawkeye fans have turned out in droves to see the ship. the line stretching nearly a half mile to get on but worth the wait for many iowa fans getting a tour on board. "i think it's probably incredible," said carl williams. "so, so tender hearted. when he was in desert storm. he was with the national guard out of cook in the medical unit, and he could hear the fighting in the distance, the guns going off, and it just bothered him knowing what was happening." they s
