this is harford road. we will let you know once those delays start to develop. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> the family of a baltimore city man is looking for answers after he dies following an encounter with a police. >> jennifer franciotti is live downtown with more on this. how did this happen? >> this unfolded on friday night. family members said he died on friday night after a confrontation with police. they claim he was on his way to his granddaughter's birthday party when officers assaulted him. a number of family members witnessed the event. there is a different story. they caught anderson in a drug deal. >> observed him put some type of narcotics in his mouth. they placed him under arrest for that and took a into police custody. he started complaining about discomfort and pain. it was believed he ingested some of the drugs he had and he was choking on them. >> anderson did died a short time later. the officers involved in the arrest have been suspended with pay. police say the investigation is standard any time something like this happens.
