you see more heavy rain developing just to the south and west of harrisburg. slowly moving in this direction and some models are picking up on this and bringing it into our area. as we go into late tonight, overnight and into tomorrow morning. here's what future weather shows, it picks up on the area i just showed you off to the west. watch what it does, it moves it in mainly south of philadelphia. through delaware and south jersey, as we get closer to 10:00, 11:00 tonight. you see moving up through parts of the area by about 4:00 p.m. this will be early, then into the morning rush hours we could see showers lingering across the area. it's all in part due to what technically is our nor'easter that will be hanging off the coast. as we go through the afternoon, another area of low pressure developing through the day wednesday. the rain and wind will stay in the forecast. this low is not going to move away very quickly. so even by thursday afternoon, you see it just hanging off the new england coast. and this will continue to give us clouds and even more rain cha

storm tracker 6 live double scan shows i was little thin line of rain pushing up through harrisburg ando the west of lancaster. that's all heading toward the north so not an immediate threat for us. and as we take a look outside, we do have a fair amount of cloud cover out there. might see some sunshine early today. but as we get later into the morning and afternoon, the clouds thicken up and then the rain arrives. temperatures 70 degrees, dewpoint 75. that number indicates muggy air out there. the winds out of the east-southeast at 6 miles per hour and i'm going to go ahead and bring in that always on day planner for you so you can kind of check out how the rest of the day is going to go. future tracker showing you the rain right now and as we go into the late morning hours, again mainly to the west of philadelphia by 11:00 or maybe lunchtime there is the chance of some heavy downpours that begin to develop and some of these could even produce some thunderstorms with gusty winds. now, as we get later into the afternoon, 2, 3 o'clock this starts to push closer to philadelphia in the lat

storm scan three right new showing you signs of life back towards harrisburg west of the state capitol but here's that wall of rain. i mean look at this. it is soaking. thinks a three hour loop and it has barely nudged at all so same spots are getting hit over and over with heavy rain and that is why flooding is a concern as it is across the region here today. we will look ahead to the future rainfall amounts and earlier in the show we showed you rainfall around the region. this is specific to philadelphia and couple different computer models, most reliable ones and how they initialized and how they see happening here. in philadelphia, up until 2:00 p.m. thursday, i would say close to an inch of rain on the ground out of this storm system but where heavier pockets line up is where you'll get your heavier rain out of this. day progress west clouds, but still warm out there. still in the 70's right now. it will not take much for to us hit 78, but showers do build in and it turns over to a heavier rain by night fall at least with embedded thunderstorms and that rain will be heavy at times
