marilyn hartman is somewhere in southern california. she says she is broke and likely spent the night on the streets. as she got out of the courtroom yesterday, she gave an interview. the 62-year-old says she doesn't have family in the area. she has been in homeless shelters in and out of them for a couple of years now. she talked about how she was a child of the '60s and that her actions at the airport was a way to draw attention to problems there. but she knows what she did was wrong. she pleaded no contest to willfully and unlawfully stowing away on a plane, which is a misdemeanor. sources say she tailgated a large family at the tsa security line here at san jose mineta then tried multiple times before finally sneaking past the southwest airlines gate agent and on to the plane to l.a.x. marilyn didn't give specific details about how she did it. >> i am an american first and foremost. and i believe very strongly in security of this country. and in that regard it's very stupid. i certainly have no idea or could give no hints to anyone

that's when they determined hartman was not a paying customer. they contacted police and she was arrested. earlier this year she was arrested at san francisco's airport for breaching security. there she's had a pattern of getting around that checkpoint. >> we've actually had several encounters with marilyn hartman at san francisco airport. she showed up there several times, indicating she wanted to go to hawaii where it was nice and warm, and she never had a ticket to get on a plane to take her there, but it did not deter her from trying several times, each of which she was taken into custody. >> reporter: so here's an a little bit about her resume. just this year, three times in february, twice in march and at least once in april she attempted to board flights at sfo. at least twice she was able to breach tsa security and make her way into the boarding area. we have a statement. southwest air lines just came out with this statement and said southwest's number one priority is the safety and security of our customers and employees. in addition to
