andrew hasbun has the story on how long she'll be behind bars. >> misty lee wilke pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six this entire crime was caught on video and that video played a significant role in this case. we want to warn you though that the victim is pretty graphic. it showed the victim riding his biological, and then wilke speeding up right toward him, hitting him. the victim flies over the car and lands on the street. he ended up seriously injured but he survived. wilke took off and called police, this all happened in april. she told police she was her over an argument where the victim told her he had hiv and the victim laughed about it. the victim was not in court, but wilke was able to speak to the judge just before he sentenced her. >> i'm really sorry about what happened that day. i was out of my mind, and is i was also on drugs, and i'll make sure that nothing like that will ever happen again. >> in addition to the six and a half years in prison, wilke will also have to serve three years i'm andrew hasbun, fox 10 news. >>> caught on camera, thieves steal a scottsdale

andrew hasbun has been in the courtroom all morning. >> celeste, it has been an emotional day in the courtroom as the pet owners, dog owners get to talk to the judge and basically get to say whatever they want, whatever is on their mind. the hughes, todd and melissa, the owners of the boarding facility where 20 plus dogs died they are not going to have a felony on their record, according to this dale. they will serve 23 days in jail, 230 hours of xhufrs community service, and when they are finished they will be on probation for three years. some of the pet owners don't feel that punishment is severe enough. while they have concluded some of their statements to the judge today, they have also asked the judge to impose a more significant sentence on the two people that they trusted to watch over their animals. those animal found than 20 of them in a nine by 12 room. the pet owners were told the pets would never be locked up inside a room. >> we actually had to call the cops to get our dogs back. 50 feet away, i would tell he already had problems. down in front of me. i come to find out

. >> andrew hasbun has been following this story. what happened? >> reporter: john, just after this happened last week, that female student reported it to a teacher here at the east valley institute of technology. as mesa police continue the investigation, the school tells us the teenage suspect has the incident happened in an elevator inside a sprawling campus near main street and alma school. the victim claims a male student sexually assaulted her after the two exchanged a hug. the female student told a teacher and the school notified mesa police. the incident hand on september 15. the two classmates are in the east valley institute law enforcement program. in a statement, the school tells us they immediately notified police when the student notified the teacher. the male student has with drawn from school and that are recommending charges against him. both the victim and suspect are under age, we don't know much about their identities, especially the suspect but we're hearing the suspect may be charged as an assault.

i'm andrew hasbun, fox 10 news. >>> a suspect wanted in connection with the death of a valley woman is now in custody. killed ro czarrio cortes back on november 2nd. the teen faces one account of second-degree murder. because of his age, however, his identity has not been released. >>> well, this is not what anyone wants to see on their morning commute to work. this was a nightmare, and there it was. several cars fully engulfed in flames. this was a big fire on the freeway, tying up traffic for hours this morning along u.s. 60. hopefully you weren't caught in it, but it was a mess. the fire started following a crash with a dump truck. 11 people were treated for minor injuries. it all happened in westbound lanes of u.s. 60 near alma school, narrowed down to one lane for most of the morning so crews could clean it up. from a look at the damage, it's frankly amazing that no one was killed in the crash. >> all of a sudden i see a vehicle sliding this way, sparks and everything and fire, and then i stopped maybe inches away from hitting the debris. a couple of seconds later, the the but the
