she joins us from the hawkeye downs sandbagging site this evening. yes/no if you can see here behind me there are cars pulled up and volunteers still shoveling sand and put them into sandbags. this location along with the location at the old k- mart on 16th avenue will remain remain open all night. a lot of the people getting the sandbags live in areas like the time check neighborhood, which was devastated from flooding in 2008. people today moved their belongings out of their homes in u-hauls and trucks. one person i spoke with was helping his daughter get everything she could out of her home.
