and i just saw a speck of orange. that's a tremendous downpour that's happening just outside bellevue. east bay you have some pretty moderate to heavy downpours around oakland to san leandro, hayward, union city. so this encompasses 580/238 commute this morning. rain in pleasanton, livermore, sub noel grade into san jose. meanwhile in boulder creek redwood grove in the san lorenzo park these are areas prone to flood. we are expecting four more inches of rain over the next 24 hours. a bit of a break around the peninsula but in the city by the bay, the city of san francisco, harrison street, mission street, cargo way into the bayview district, you have some heavy rainfall there. you know what i'm talking about if you live there. heavy raindrops hitting the rooftops. bay bridge gusty winds heavy rain at this time. all this will be through the morning commute and intensify at times during the day through the evening commute. this is why we do have a flash flood watch in effect for that blue highlighted area. yellow is the coastal flood advisory in effect for beach erosion coinciding with astronomical high tide. we have it all going on. the winds are below freezing but will be gusty later. 16 san
