heather macdonald is standing by with some perspective on that, but first the 7:00 p.m. update on dorian from the national hurricane center, watch this. >> good evening, this is the 7:00 p.m. update on hurricane dorian. dorian continues to pummel the northwestern bahamas. you see the center of the hurricane located very close to grand bahama island. the eye wall has been over the island for at least 6-12 hours and creating massive destruction there. we are sure from the videos that we seen there has been loss of life farther east where the hurricane crossed yesterday. in terms of looking ahead, while the hurricane is stationary now, we think that by tomorrow morning, motion towards west or northwest will begin. there is the florida east coast and up through the carolinas. the track is likely to be parallel to the coast, but just off shore, perhaps offshore. if that's the case, then we will have probable storm conditions after almost the entire southeastern united states in the next 2-3 days. if the track of the hurricane deviates a little bit off to the left, to the west
