as i think colleagues you may know our city experienced a very significant lost yesterday when helen diller passed away, one of the great civic philanthropist and leersd leaders and a amazing person that cared about our community. helen was a native of san francisco. her father immigrated from poland and born at mount zion hospital and attended uc berkeley and met her husband. she created the helen dillar foundation and grant and fund and support many programs and institutions, not just in the bay area, but around the world. she has been recognized for her creativity and looking for opportunity totion make contributions and her deep involvement in many areas in science, education and the arts. she was a chair of the whitesman institute of science in israel and friends of the american hebrew university and recipient of the highest honor from the american friends hebrew university and received other awards and recognitions not just in san francisco but throughout the bay area and honored with a lifetime award from the golden gate chapter of fundraising professionals. helen diller funded so ma
