today-- colorado governor john hickenlooper and other state leaders will be at csu for a town hall on funding. the governor will be in the lo afternoon starting at 1-30. he's expected to talk about how state funding has affected tuition, transportation and the i-25 corridor. during the town hall the governor is also expected to give long and short term budget forecasts. a former denver police officer is facing charges today-- after police say he was caught with drugs in his house. hubert "marty" vanover is out on bond as of this morning-- but should be back vanover was arrested last month after neighbors complained about a smell coming from his home. denver police say when theu went inside the house they found two pounds of suspected marijuana-- they also found methamphetamine and a glass pipe. he's facing a list of criminal charges for it. vanover was placed on indefinite leave in 2013 for performance issues and other concerns. he was ultimately fired the next year after police say he used his badge inappropriately. are expected to begin today in the trial of a university of colorado
