but in the book, on page 219, in an essay written by nick higgins and amy mitchell of the brooklyn public library, they say throughout and this amplifies what you were saying, matt, throughout history there have been similar examples of authority in ism and state sponsored white supremacy ism rising out of fear and backlash to pluralism. yet in those moments in history, there have been abundant examples of righteous individuals, institutions and whole communities motivated to collective action in resistance to such assaults. our hope is that the present moment will call forth a similar response, and i think that is our hope. i guess i just like to add a couple of things to the the case of the supreme court, the colorado supreme supreme court case from 2000 2002 is very often mentioned. and joyce's choices name is brought up. and that's and that's true. as an important case. but 20 years before that, joyce was fighting legislation in colorado that would that would restrict access to to to books and to literature and it was it wasn't a it was an important thing for her. she didn't as i thin
