aggressive non-hodgkins lymphoma. there are many types. the most common would be diffuse large b-cell. i'll comment on that because that makes 25-30% of the diffuse large b-cells and it kind of fits what is being described in his case. but by no means is it what he has. most people with that lymphoma is very aggressive and it can come on quickly and be very responsive to treatment and chemotherapy. which does involve aggressive chemotherapy in a combination of the i.v. chemotherapy and a dose of steroids to help the cancer. and targeted immune agents most notably probably medication called ritoximath. this is given normally on a three-week cycle. so every 21 days you get another dose of chemotherapy. and people can generally if they take off the day of chemo and you are getting the treatment in that day. it can be very tolerable. you can get fatigue with it and nausea, vomiting. you can get hair loss and nervous damage done to the small nerves and the fingers and the toes. but we have many medications to control some of the side effects no
