minor flooding expected on the navarro rivt navarro and also the russian river at hopland.m. and as we time this out for you, here's what you can expect. the north bay will finally get a little bit of a reprieve. the rest of us, we're just going to be seeing occasional drizzle and showers until tomorrow. then the downpours begin as the atmospheric river moves, we're going to be seeing heavy rain, chance of thunder, even some gusty winds. the rainfall continues into saturday morning and then you get a break by the afternoon hours. so when all is said and done, we'll have a few more inches of rain tomorrow afternoon. you're looking at windy conditions. temperatures primarily in the 60s. the accuweather seven day forecast a two tomorrow, a level one for saturday morning. and then we have another system sunday that's going to be a two because of the cumulative effect. a one monday, tuesday, wednesday maybe a lingering chance. but by thanksgiving no dry turkeys, just some dry weather ama and dan like in christmas vacation when he s his just and you're talking to a vegetarian. >>

also, flood warnings for the russian river at hopland and a flood warning for the navarro river at navarro, as they are both expecting minor flooding in the next 24 to 48 hours. there is a flood advisory going for urban and small stream flooding for a good chunk of the north bay, where the atmospheric river has just been sending heavy downpours across the region. you look at the rest of the bay area and you'll say, what rain today? we've only had some very scattered light showers right now right around the santa cruz mountains. we're seeing some light showers as well. it is a level two on the storm impact scale for the north bay. not so much for the rest of us right now. as you will notice, there's another low developing tomorrow. everybody goes to a level two storm 6:00 tonight. heaviest rain in the north bay. it starts to lift northward tomorrow morning. the rain starts to come back and this time around, that stalled atmospheric river is pounding the bay area with some heavy rain at noontime. it is a two on our exclusive abc seven news storm impact scale for the north bay flood threat. s

here's a look at a few light showers from hopland. highway one, fort ross.as we take you down further to the south there, looking around saint helena, yountville, glen ellen and those are the areas that certainly are having some problems with the creek streams and even the rivers. so a few showers. level one slick roadways less than 5/100 throughout the day today. right now it's 50 in fremont and palo alto where it's cloudy, 49 sonoma. and we're going to see the temperatures not only cooler today, but right now we are 5 to 12 degrees colder. that's due to those south winds exiting the area. and as we go through the next couple of hours notice clouds will part. we're partly cloudy with temperatures from the upper 50s to the low 60s. this is 3:00 in the afternoon, maybe a sprinkle or two up in the north bay, but overall we are getting into a drier trend today. tomorrow we have pretty much the same. a mix of clouds and sun and a few showers will detail that for you and the week ahead in a few minutes. steph. all right. >> thank you. in rohnert park, two cars go

a flash flood warning for the russian river at guerneville, as well as in hopland. and so we're seeing all of this causing flooding. the water just running off and the storm system still pounding the region. as we are looking at all of the rain coming in, it will begin to eventually work its way farther south. but it's still over some of the same areas that we've seen from the past couple of days as we track it with storm ranger. it's a light to moderate steady rainfall coming down, and once again, it's falling on the ground that's already saturated with rising water into san francisco. we're seeing that rain moving into pacifica that continues, and eventually it will work its way towards san mateo and then into the late morning hours. there will be some pockets of heavier rain coming in this with a cold front that's going to kind of kick the system into gear and push it farther to the south. so pretty much all day long we're going to see that rain coming down and eventually tapering off around midnight for much of the bay area, and then coming right back in for the

looks like this is hopland. reports of some flooding off of highway 175. and that was from this morning. now here's the radar imagery once again, still talking about some rain out towards sonoma and napa right around the vallejo area as well. but then things really begin to back off in terms of the coverage and still fairly quiet for fremont, mountain view and in the san jose area. now showing you the winds right now, they're still a bit of a breeze out there. the winds aren't extremely strong, but still breezy to windy in a few spots, gusting around 25 miles an hour. san jose winds at about 12 and half moon bay a stronger wind at about 31mph. so here's the setup. with temperatures right now, it's actually kind of a warmer day. those readings in the upper 50s to the 60s. quick river check in the north bay for the russian river at guerneville. it has been going up right now, is over 14ft, projected to crest early saturday morning, just over 30ft. that is approaching flood stage, but just slightly below flood stage. here's that atmospheric river we have been
