one of the things i would like to touch on is a partnership between taraval and ingleside. captain hard and captain nick saw the crossover as well as working with captain bailey r. for similar crimes were happening. the cars that were being used for similar. they went out of their way to talk to the department of emergency management and make sure that certain calls within the neighborhood were classified at a higher level, at a higher priority. instead of coming in and seeing a priority of a suspicious vehicle captives were coming in s.p. priorities. if the officers weren't aware of what was going on investigative leak, that they knew that if this was categorized as a b. priority, there was a quicker response to the neighborhood. we were trying to get ahead of the burglary happening. that was a successful thing that they -- that they put into play. by the taraval, obviously is doing a great job around this and collaborating with their partners. we'll talk about the mission a little bit. mission station is a very different dynamic than taraval. even during the day, we will

burglary detail, our robbery detail, working with our neighbors both in the richmond district and in ingleside, that we've been able to reduce these numbe numbers. as chief mentioned, it's not easy. there are a number of crews working together that are very well organized, that are committing these crimes, including retail theft, auto burglaries, and residential burglaries, and we have noticed when arrests are made, our numbers drop, and sometimes they tend to go back up again, so it's ongoing, it's a challenge, but it's something that we are proactive with. our taraval station investigation team. the acting lieutenant is lieutenant douglas arnold. his responsibilities are fairly broad. he needs to know the working knowledge of the crime trends within the district. he reviews and assigns cases to the investigators, he participates in a daily call with other lieutenants and the investigative bureau, and he's also the property crime liaison and works with my admin sergeant, who wears a number of hats, and that would be sergeant lynn pomado, so, please, raise your hand. , widespread temperatures, anywhere from 63 in half moon bay, partly sunny me marina down to the ingleside and across the north bay. it's warm in those interior valleys. i still have it up to 80 in ukiah, 79 in napa. i really start to see those temperatures beginning to drop once we hit sunday. we have a lot of rainfall to the north. this is so frustrating, as i've been saying for every single one of us that want rainfall. there is not a big chance of us to get wet weather from this. it really breaks up. but by 8:30 on sunday, we could get a little drizzle right there near the coastline, and then as we head through sunday afternoon, that storm system again continues to dissipate. so the biggest thing we'll see from this is continued cooling in the forecast as you head through the next seven days, right here in san francisco. we'll stay with 60s through next tuesday. for the inland valleys, the temperatures drop. going to be a lot more noticeable. down to 76 on sunday. by next tuesday, some breezy conditions c b so far still good for halloween as you head into wednesday's forecast. so sunda

at fault in the west of twin peaks area, west of sunnyside and north of ingleside. might specific section of it is highlighted in red. the street is called dorado terrace. this is an overhead view. the pavement you see as part of dorado terrace. it is a closed loop neighborhood above the ocean avenue just to the south. but to the plot map referred to homewood ports. back in the 1920s, it was the jewish home for orphans and it was called homewood orphanage. back then you can see that the area was surrounded by trees. this is on the southern slope of mount davidson and was a mixed forest of eucalyptus and pine trees that was predominant in that neighborhood. in the late 1960s, the property was sold and in the mid-1970s it was developed. in 1979, the new development which is comprised of duplexes and single-family homes was started. people started moving in there peerk that is when these trees were planted which were the subject of the appeal tonight. these are two ironwood eucalyptus trees that have been here since 1979 and this is what they look like in august of 201
