and you head to the ingleside and sunset in the 60s. 92 in sonoma there. and 75 in mill valley. if you're tired of this heat, good news, i do have changes coming once we hit thursday. cooler air will drop down, and i think that's good enough for a ten-degree temperature drop, also bringing back the fog at the coastline and patchy fog inland. look for that next big change. then beyond this, we have been talking about that possibility of rainfall. look at this. by saturday morning, some rain entering northern california, right near eureka. as i advance this, you will see this system does break up right there once it gets to the bay area. north of us, a tenth to a half inch. but for the bay area, just some spotty drizzle out of this right now. if we see any changes in it, of course i will let you know. but great news for the firefighters off to the north. in san francisco, we have 60s on thursday, and that fog returning. and across the inland valleys, much better weather. by thursday, down to 83 degrees and we stay with 80s into the coming weekend. so thankful and happy to see rain

as you head to ingleside upper 50s for a high with clouds and fog lingering. for the north bay we're up to 86 in clearlake and sonoma reaching 76 degrees. the rain and when we're going to see it mostly by tomorrow afternoon we could start to see spotty showers around ukiah and santa rosa, areas farther to the north will see a little bit of some rain. it starts to move in late saturday night near the coastline and in san francisco we could see a chance of some spotty light mist and drizzle, heading into about 4:00 in the morning on sunday. that could also extend up towards fairfield with a brief light shower moving by. by the time we wake up on sunday morning, more of us waking up heading out it's going to be clear the rest of the day on sunday is looking pretty nice. what's going to be really beneficial with this system will be all of the fires burning and the fact that we could see some of those scattered showers moving over parts of the fire zones. we could see anywhere from about a quarter to three quarters of an inch of rain near the dixie fire as well as

san francisco, lots of 60s from downtown to the ingleside and the marina at 59. let's move it off to the north bay. because of the stronger ocean breeze we'll struggle to get to that 76 in santa rosa. the temperatures are looking better, and that rain forecast also continues to look better. let's go ahead and take you to what i'm tracking. it's a system by saturday and sunday, things are looking more improved for this to hold up a little more for northern california. but it will start to break up here once it reaches the bay area. however, i think we'll get spotty drizzle chances, maybe a few isolated showers. but the rain totals in the fire zone, they are looking higher, a quarter to three quarters of an inch. and it could actually help us to get full containment on some of the fires to the north. san francisco temps will stay in the 60s next six days. lots of 80s here through the inland valleys. more looks at this, also our rain forecast into october at 6:00. >> october, that sounds good. >> thanks, so much, jeff. >>> granted permission to leave the country. th

peninsula, 86 in san mateo, half moon bay 75 degrees. 80 in downtown, 79 in the mission and 77 in the ingleside. 96 in ukiah, 90s extending down to sonoma. warmer temperatures tomorrow, but the other thing i want to alert you about is some smoke moving in from the south. it's from the fire that's burning in the sequoia national forest. so tonight no problems with smoke, but as we roll through tomorrow, you can see how that smoke is going to be moving to south bay and the east bay. that's going to have the best chance of getting that smoke moving in. so air quality will be unhealthy for sensitive groups. those of you with asthma, any kind of respiratory problems especially over the east bay and right there in the south bay. san francisco does have some cool weather as fall begins on wednesday, down to 69. back up a little bit thursday and friday, some low 70s. back up to cooler 60s this weekend into early next week. from the inland valleys, also dropping down to 88 on wednesday, so much more comfortable then. warming up to low 90s thursday and friday and back down again saturday and sunday. beau

a shooting on garrett and ingleside. officers responded and found 1444 caliber casings and car and residential windows damaged by gun shots, so that is another case where we need the public's help. if you know anything, call 575-4444. that still remained unsolved. another shooting, a victim advised he was riding a bicycle south on van ness at 12 street when he heard three gunshots. he fell off his bike and realized that he had been shot. he saw a vehicle speed off eastbound on mission street and flagged a passer by down who took him to the hospital. in this case, i believe the gun shot may have been self-inflicted, so that investigation is still on going to determine the cause of that shooting. we had another shooting in the 400 block of jones street in the tenderloin. our victim, hispanic male 48 years old, advised he was banging on a door of an apartment to droo try and get his cell phone when a shot came through the door. he was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. we know where the shots came from,

significant incidents: ingleside, phone spoofing. on august 22, at ingleside station received multiple calls from the public stating that they received calls from a number, 415-404-4000, with a subject identifying as a san francisco police department officer. the subject was informed that the person had violated some type of law and would ask for some type of identifying information or financial information. i want to tell members of the public that this is a scam. please do not give your personal information and/or financial information to anyone who claims to call and says that they are with the san francisco police department. this is a scam, and a number of people have received those calls. so we put that information out to the public. at this time, thankfully, they have no financial loss or anyone divulging personal information, but please be aware that those types of scams are out there. social media posts, we have informed the public about this type of scam, and anybody who received these types of reports are encouraged to mak
