remember shang, i has one of the biggest international communities in china. so this is worrying also for foreign parents. there's plenty of anecdotal evidence, both online and elsewhere, to demonstrate just how unsettled people are. we know that parents and children have been separated. we know also that the chinese government is going to persist with this policy. it says that where a parent and a child have been infected, they can isolate together. but if say the parent has been infected and the child hasn't, than they have to be separated. now, foreign diplomats in shanghai have been contacting the foreign ministry in beijing to express their alarm. they won't set there to be some sort of exemption for diplomatic staff and the children of diplomatic staff to be able to isolate at home . but it does seem that china is determined to maintain this particular strategy. i've seen pictures on social media to day. darren pictures posted actually by state media showing our children and parents arriving at one of these isolation facilities where parents and children
