also we're watching for the ipads. liz: let me tell you. 19.5 million ipads sold. what they did just a year ago. 11.8 million. so a huge jump in ipad numbers. folks, at first blush numbers are way better than the market expected. what does that tell you? once again apple defies the odds when it comes to those numbers. david when we look at all these it looks like a real win. when it comes to the dividend, declaring $3.05 a dividend per share for common shares that will be a huge splash in the market. david: that is a huge splash. keep in mind we were expecting apple to post its first year-over-year earnings decline in 10 years. if these numbers hold, particularly the unit sales which are a big beat both on the iphones and on the ipads, we may not see that. if apple has done what historically it did which was to underplay its success and underplay expectations, then leading to big increase in shares, we may see a serious reversal. and again, the key here right now with apple shares, they are halted after-hours. we're looking for an end to that halt. but right now th
