most importantly, ninth avenue and irving is an intersection that is painful for people who walk around this neighborhood on a frequent basis. you're sometimes stopped at a light for up to two and a half minutes while waiting for trains to come and go and bikes, muni, all that stuff. now that the stops have been reconfigured so that the buses get through the light before they have to stop, that intersection will be so much more pleasant for all of us to experience. so that's why we're here and why we did it and everyone who has put up with the noise and all of that, give yourself a round of applause.
