cane travel iss fine but it does not give you thend independencei was looking for.ixen does that in a totally amazing way. the guide dog has given me a level of mobility i have not had in 40 years. it used to be, edie and i live in the country and out whenever i'd want to go for a walk i have to find out whether edie could go with me. she loves to walk but doesn't want to go with me all the time. now and i went to go for a walk, vixen and i go. she was to come she joins us. i commute to the courthouse, vixenn loves escalators and airplanes she has given me a level of independence that is quite amazing. the one thing i will add, edie wrote this a couple of years ago after watching the process. she said the other thing vixen has done for me is give me an opportunity to be alone. it's to walk alone in the country which i was never able to do. that alone is a treasured time. and in fact, i spent three years on this book in the country. ii don't have any doubt all of those long walks with vixen and my opportunity to think independently and myself in shape till this book
