i'm j.r. stone. a soggy saturday in the bay area as rain rolled in and continued off and on throughout the day. spencer christian joins us now for a first look at your forecast. all right, j.r, we've certainly had some soggy spots, but right now the storm is winding down and so here's a look at live doppler seven. >> you can see just a few little pockets of light showers swinging through the bay area. nothing like what we saw just a few hours ago when there was a lot more green on the screen. the on the exclusive abc seven storm impact scale this system is still a level one storm even though it's almost over. so for the remainder of tonight, we expect periods of light scattered showers, gusty northwest winds, though we've certainly got those and maybe an additional 2 or 3 hundredths of an inch of rainfall. here's a forecast animation starting at 1130. notice by midnight or certainly shortly thereafter, we expect to see no rainfall at all. and even the clouds will disappear and skies will be at least

j.r. stone, abc seven news and new at 11, safety alert is being issued over e-bikes in marin county. >> public health officials discovered that in one month the rate of e-bike accidents for kids 10 to 19 years of age was nine times higher than that of adults. the alarming data was discovered when marin county ems services began designating e-bike accidents separate. now the county is reminding people helmets, proper riding posture and following the rules of the road are key to safety, especially for e-bike riders. >> they're heavier. they travel more quickly, they accelerate more quickly and ed are now we're seeing contributing to an increased number of accidents. i want to be clear that we're not discouraging the use of e-bikes. we're really rather we're we're trying to promote e-bike safety. >> marin county is also creating a task force in an effort to spearhead e-bike safety measures around the county, see a chaotic day of congress near fights, breaking out the threats and insults that

j.r. stone, abc seven news, j.r, thank you. >> we move now to the east bay.ajor changes are coming in hopes of reshaping one of alameda county's most dangerous corridors. as according to our media partners at the east bay times, berkeley is now the last city to sign off on the san pablo avenue corridor project, a large scale reimagining of the stretch from oakland up to albany. that project will add bus bulbs lighting signals, ada ramps, flashing beacons and other traffic calming measures. the hope is this will enable more people to be able to walk, bike and board busses as construction is slated to start next year and tomorrow we'll see more action from community members in oakland. a local business owner in the fruitvale district is organizing a rally downtown to protest deadly traffic crashes in his neighborhood. the demonstration in front of the ac transit headquarters on franklin street is set for 3 p.m. all right. time to turn things over to our forecast for the start of the week as we take a live look outside from our east bay hills camera, where, yes,

j.r. stone, abc seven news and vallejo. >> police say a homeowner shot and killed a burglar who broke into his house today. it happened on georgia street near monterey street, which is only a few blocks actually from police headquarters. when police got there, about 945 this morning, they found a man who had been shot. he died at the scene. the investigation is just beginning. well, it is all quiet on the tarmac of sfo tonight as we look at our live camera from the airport. but earlier there was a bit of a disruption. a jetblue plane had a collision with a pushback tractor on the tarmac. this was at about 1:40 p.m. the flight was full and all passengers had to be deplaned. one passenger says they were taxiing toward the runway when they heard just a loud bang. it felt almost like getting a flat tire. the plane is out of service because of significant damage to the engine. no one was hurt. a replacement flight departed at 10 p.m. this evening. a little more than eight hours later. all right

j.r.abc seven news and vallejo. >> police say a homeowner shot and killed a burglar who broke into his house today. it happened on georgia street near monterey street, which is only a few blocks actually from police headquarters. when police got there, about 945 this morning, they found a man who had been shot. he died at the scene. the investigation is just beginning. well, it is all quiet on the tarmac of sfo tonight as we look at our live camera from the airport. but earlier there was a bit of a disruption. a jetblue plane had a collision with a pushback tractor on the tarmac. this was at about 1:40 p.m. the flight was full and all passengers had to be deplaned. one passenger says they were taxiing toward the runway when they heard just a loud bang. it felt almost like getting a flat tire. the plane is out of service because of significant damage to the engine. no one was hurt. a replacement flight departed at 10 p.m. this evening. a little more than eight hours later. all right. let's
