jack kennedy feels almost the same way. robert kennedy says, you know, if we don't win on the first ballot, we don't win it all. it was a very, very close for jack kennedy all the way through 1960, even in those primaries to the convention and to the balloting. there are a lot of promises made. the city would have to rent a very large hall, very much larger than this one, to get all the people that jack kennedy promised the vice presidency to that year. [laughter] yes, your remember the governor in kansas or herschel loveless of iowa. they all thought they were going to be vice president and neither was friedman of minnesota. jack kennedy, the roll call is held and by the time it gets to wyoming, he is over-the-top. but to show how close a run that was, i mean, there's no states thategin with the. so when you captured in wyoming, it was a very, very closely run thing. so then jack kennedy, for real confronts the issue, who is his vice president going to be? who is going to be the running mate? and as barack obama could have

bridal was one of jack toledo's favor painters. he kept this picture over the his bed in his house that he just love showing people at work. he thought that the dignity of work was one of the most important things in life. the picture here shows a woman stooping over her bruegel garden to tend it. the colors i think are just luminous. you cannot see the woman's face, but the way jack has made this picture, you get the idea that this woman works very hard, that she tends things carefully, and has an eye for beauty. many of us have a romance with the railroads. i think this is one of the more beautiful pictures of a train engine. it is being carefully washed. and cared for. you can see water streaming down from above. somebody is washing it with a brush. but the color combination of light on the train shows jack delano's ability to make art out of everything he saw. jack delano made probably most of the railroad photographs in the farm security administration collection. he was sent to document he to document american transportation

that is a problem, isn't it, jack?see the road of the various vaccine programmes as well. yeah, maybe. we don't exactly know the uk position on this particular test, but we are certainly spending lots of money on lots of different tests, desperately trying to catch up tests, desperately trying to catch up with where the better prepared countries started from that have been able to deal with this pandemic so much better than we have because they are testing and creating systems that are much more advanced. we pretty much started from scratch. you hope that we will be in a place ina few you hope that we will be in a place in a few months' time where the vast majority of countries are doing a lot of very rapid testing. unless we get a vaccine, that's the only way we will ever get a handle on this virus and start to get back toward some sort of normality. it means a lot of people getting tested all the time, basically, so they can go about their daily business. kate, and that a vaccine programme, russia has already started
