[laughter] >> they have been opposing the names them out for several days. i was with senator graham and senator stott today. and i would say this with respect to jack lew. i am much more concerned by the fact that he presided over the facts of a budget proposal from this president. my friends on the other side of the i love to go back to the president. you know how many votes as budget proposal got the united states house and senate? the same number that my daughter's budget proposal. so i am concerned over the fact that he cannot draft a budget. if he is willing

president obama expected to nominate white house chief of staff jack lew later today to be the next treasury of the secretary, but if lou is confirmed he might consider sharpening that signature which will pretty much be on all u.s. currency. here it is loopy and arguably unreadable. current treasury secretary tim geithner said he had a similar problem before he took over. here it is before he took the job. and here what it looks like now. he improved his penmanship to make it easier for folks to read. i can't argue. have you seen mine? martha: it deteriorates with every passing year. bill: jack lew that --. martha: well it is the worst flu outbreak in at least a decade and doing a number on people across the country. the virus is reported in 41 states with nine states reporting high or severe levels of flu. boston's mayor says his city is under siege. he is declaring a public health emergency. the state of massachusetts reporting 18 flu-related deaths so far. the hospitals can barely contain all the people pouring into them. >> we're seeing significant rates of hospitalization, much more serious than we've seen in the

banks you see jack lew was overseeing policy in the white house during the massive deregulation of wall street. because if you're of all that door back before citi group you'll find that lou was head of the office of management and budget under president bill clinton and during that time clinton repealed one of the most significant piece of legislation that was keeping wall street regulated the glass steagall act without the repeal of glass steagall it would have been quite difficult for citi group to successfully bet on the collapse of the housing market by defrauding investors and whose name comes up when citigroup nearly imploded during the financial crisis that would be jack lew he was a top executive in the city group a unit that housed many of the banks riskiest operations so to sum it up a man who cares primarily about making giant banks bigger and richer is now going to be obama's right hand man when it comes to economic policy one thing's for sure jack lew is completely out of touch with the struggle of the majority of americans who are trying to make ends meet this nomination goes beyond any sort of rational thinking unless of course the rationale is to continue
