jackie benson spoke with neighbors and has the latest from frederick country. >> reporter: the house sits in a quiet, mt. airy, maryland. something sad and terrible happened here. the discovery was made about 5:40 p.m. >> the 911 call was received from the friend of the family. he had come to check on the family. looked in the back window and seen a body. our troopers along with ems personnel responded. >> reporter: troopers found the bodies. investigators were called to the neighborhood. a mobile crime van was broug to the scene. detectives applied for an emergency search warrant. >> the troopers that initially responded knew it was an obvious murder scene, so it's procedure to secure the scene and then get a search warrant to go back in and properly proce the scene. >> reporter: within hours, a crowd of neighbors gathered. shocked by the seen. >> i've been here 42 years and this is the saddest thing i have seen. there are very close neighbors around here. it's not violent around here. it's all been happy family and it's really sad. >> reporter: this investigation is just beginning.

jackie bensen is in fairfax county with more. >> reporter: doreen, police say they are investigating the nature of the 15-year-old's relationship with the teacher. this is the police mugshot of 27-year-old high schoolteacher valerie roeseler, taken not long after she was arrested and being charged with being drunk in public and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. about 1:30 sunday morning a patrol officer noticed a car in the otherwise empty parking lot of a community center in the town house area of the lorton area. they found an visibly intoxicated roeseler and 15-year-old boy. roeseler was arrested. officers learned the boy left home to meet her without telling his parents. they do not believe she gave him any alcohol. roeseler has been suspended without pay from her job as a teacher at hayfield secondary school. they say the young man she was founwith is not a student there. roeseler was released on bond. no one answered her door in the home in the alexandria section of fairfax county. roeseler and the young man met in the spring of last year but officials say he is not a
