joining us james clyburn. congressman, good morning. great to have you.s not really welcome polling for a campaign that is really betting bidenomics as the president heads to your state. when you also look at the polling it shows 35% of people, only 35% of voters have a great deal of confidence or a fair amount of confidence in president biden on the economy. he has a lot of ground to make up, does he not? >> well, thank you very much for having me. you know, i think that what we are witnessing in the country today is that people are sour on almost everything. and i think that it's for a good reason. we have not spent enough time accentuating the positives that exist today. i was a co-chair or the chair of the covid-19 committee and people really got in pretty sour moods during that pandemic and we are trying to get out of it. we came out of the administration that talked about infrastructure every other day and never spent one dime on infrastructure. joe biden has put the infrastructure program in place and people are just beginning to experience it. and

joining me now, congresswoman james clyburn, house assistant democratic leader and a biden harris campaignways, thank you for coming to the show. first, let me get your reaction to what you just heard from governor desantis. >> well first of all, thank you very much for having me on. that was one of the most ridiculous things i've ever heard from a public servant. here is a man who's the governor of the state of florida saying that the january 6th was not an insurrection. the trials, how did people have pled guilty? how many people have now been sentenced in jail? all four insurrections. and he is in the midst of all of that. our judicial system taking an independent look at what took place on january 6th and saying to the american people, these people that are guilty of inspections, they're going to jail, others are going to be tried. we now have a impending, what i think is impending indictment on that same subject. it could be of the president of the united states. he on the campaign trail saying that it was not an insurrection. people gather there, that is villainous and he ought never
