ktvu's jana katsuyama is live tonight in the city where she spoke with two jurors who reached differentonclusions in the case. jana. >> reporter: this was a case julie, that lasted more than a month. ellen powell in the courtroom appeared very calm after she heard the verdict from this jury that had six men and six women evenly divided. some of them said today it was a very intense and emotional process. >> ellen powell left the state courthouse in san francisco having lost her $16 million gender discrimination case but still claiming victory for raising attention working women of silican valley. >> for people across the world who have reached out to express support, and telling me that my story is theirs too. >> reporter: as chief of staff for the firm's well known partner john doer had been her mentor but also testified that she cautioned powell about her difficulty working with others. they called the firm a boy's club. powell claims she outperformed male comments, was asked to take notes like a secretary and treated unfairly after an affair with a married male colleague. >> then the

jana katsuyama has the story. >> reporter: this all comes as investigators have listened to the black box. families of the victims walked in a long line. coming together in brief to the mountain where 150 people lost their lives. french investigators say they could hear passenger screams just before the plane crashed into the mountain. >> reporter: we are speechless that this aircraft has been deliberately crashed by the co- pilot. >> reporter: that co-pilot had logged just over 600 hours of flight time. lubis and the captain patrick could be heard talking normally after the plane left in barcelona. the captain asks him to take command of the plane and left the cockpit presumably to use the lavatory. lubitz then set the plane to 1,000 feet. the captain is heard knocking and then pounding on the door increasingly frantic. investigators say it appears lubitz flipped the switch that did not allow the pilot to get back into. police surrounded his family's home in a town in western germany. neighbors say he was calm and low key. a regular jogger who dreamed as a child of becoming a pilot.

jana katsuyama is live at the courthouse where one of those agents appeared in court today. >> reporter: sean bridges ask a secret service agent who has since left. he appeared in court and is free tonight on a half million dollars bond. this is the 95 page criminal complaint that accuses the two agents of criminal acts including selling government information to the suspect that they were trying to catch. >>> the two agents were part of a federal task force that took down the silk road website. an online marketplace. that led to the arrest of ross albrick who was accused of operating the silk road website. the defendants are sean w. bridges, a special agent. and 46-year-old carl force a special agent with the drug enforcement administration. they're accused of stealing from the government. from albrick and even selling government information to albrick during the investigation. an investigator with the irs uncovered the case. bridges faces fraud and laundering money. he was assigned to create a persona and communicate with albrick online. but he crossed the line, creating extra persona
