janelle martinez is standing by with your alternate routes but expect major delays if you're heading southbound into tampa we'll get you all the updates on alternates in a moment. >>> classes at a north carolina college will go on as scheduled this morning following a campuswide lockdown overnight. police say a person with a gun prompted this lockdown at winston-salem state university. right now officials say no shots were fired, no one was hurt but the cam pass was locked down for nearly five hours. the person that showed the gun hasn't been arrested. >>> the preliminary autopsy results on a 2-year-old boy who disappeared in tennessee show that child died from hypothermia. final autopsy results on noah chamberlin are expected back in two weeks but a district attorney says there are no signs of foul play in his death. noah will be buried tomorrow afternoon. he disappeared about two weeks ago while walking with his grandmother and 4-year-old sister. search teams found his body on thursday. authorities are calling his death a tragic accident. >>> this morning at 5:45, we're getting a l

janelle martinez joins us now with the workarounds. this is a very busy stretch of road. >> it is, around the usf area, va close by. your alternates pretty well known here. you can take 50th street to fowler and get to 275 that way. both those streets moving pretty good now in the green but as this morning commute picks up we could start to see some congestion on the roads. i'll keep an eye on it and let you know if we do start to see that congestion and how to get around it. elsewhere in the bay area we are just getting a report of a crash i-275 southbound around busch boulevard. i can't see the crash here but i am seeing some backups here, this just came in seconds ago so we'll try to figure out more about that but we are hearing from fhp there is some roadblock here. as you can see traffic is starting to back up so i'll keep an eye on that as well. make sure you're following me on twitter at tampabaytraffic for the latest on both crashes. as far as the veterans we're in the green, looking great, 18 minutes from 54 to 275. and six mi

janelle martinez will have more on the road closure on foul they're dan talked about. first let's check with shay. >> it's different than it was yesterday at this time. even friday morning as the kids headed to school. rivergate tower tampa cam, nice and clear and dry. don't have to worry about wet temperatures are colder. we're talking about 20 to 25 degrees cooler than yesterday at this time. so we're near 40 degrees in crystal river, lecanto, homosassa, floral city now at 41. it's possible that we'll end up in the upper 30s before those temperatures start coming back up, in citrus county. in hillsborough county we are in the 40s as well but it's in the mid-40s so tampa 47 now. brandon 45. lutz at 44. pinellas county close to the beaches temperatures are also in the mid to upper 40s. 50 degrees now at st. pete beach. that's one of the warmest spots across tampa bay. as we head through the day all of that sunshine will warm us up but not even to average temperatures. in fact it will be a little while before we get back to average. lots of sunshine, cool and dry today,
