. >> i'm janelle wang. raj and jessica have the night off. we begin with breaking news. a fire at freemont mini storage on industrial parkway just off 880. that's near the tesla factory. 40 units suffered some kind of damage. ian cull is live at the scene. this fire spread fast. >> reporter: yeah, it absolutely just ripped through much of this storage facility. 18 units in all have fire damage, heavily fire damaged. but firefighters had to make sure -- you can see some of the units here, they have been -- garage doors basically been sliced through with a saw so they could get through and make sure there is no fire moving their way down. you can see the heavy smoke that continues to pour out of here as they are taking the items out to make sure none of them are on fire. if they are they immediately douse them with flames. they also want to make sure there is no one living in here. once again, sparks around 8:45 tonight. inside each of them, basically what most people would put here, mattresses, furniture, cars, overflow items from your house that burn up easily and quickl
