hi, jen. >> good morning. on the plus side, this new budget doesn't include any new fees or taxes, and it does include her original plan to cut property taxes by two cents. however, some pretty big changes are on the way that would affect the fire department, all city employees when it comes to paychecks and their out of pocket expenses. the proposal would permanently close three fire companies that right now only close on a rotating basis. the plan also includes merging the 311 and 911 call centers. there would be no city furloughs. however, there would also be no pay raises for city employees, and employees will have to pay higher out of pocket costs for medical and prescription drug coverage. right now, city employees pay no deductible on their medical bills, and officials say few make any co-payments. this is a move that would reduce the city's healthcare costs by up to $25 million a year, and officials say this proposed budget also closes a $48 million deficit in the budget. now, this is something that wi

gen jen sure.e've had people come on the show, different analysts, that have talked to us about what could actually lead to war with iran and some have pointed to the strait of hormuz and a miscalculation or sudden decision that could launch us into a bigger war with the country. i'm curious because we've talked so much about iran together on this show, having been to the strait of hormuz at this time in our history what are some of your observations now that you're back home and thinking about the situation with iran? >> the first observation that has to be said, we have a magnificent navy, certainly magnificent officers and sailor, highly competent, and nothing kind of can duplicate or replicate the experience of actually spending time out there with our -- with the sailors, with the pilots out there. on the other hand, when i was in the persian gulf, we really had four, five ships, major ship, in theater. so it of not a particularly large deployment. and i think this, to some extent, speaks to t
