joining me is phillip jennings, general secretary for global union.obal warrior. thanks for joining us. steel is an industry suffering because commodityies are plummeting. we just had a strike. what is the average worker feeling in terms of seeing the new normal of work? >> the average worker feels the economy is not working for then. the average worker beliefs the political system is not working for them. they feel they're getting the shaft. if we look at one of the issues that faces us is lack of demand and investment. there's not a enough work going. it's at a post war low. this is not sustainable. this means that we have to find ways of putting consumption back to worker's pockets to tilt the business. leaders in business have done well over three decades. america is paying the price for assault on unions and worker's rights in this country. that's why they're angry and frustrated. >> there's been a shift to shareholders. in other words large shareholders want change at companies, more fishtyefficiencies, cutbacks. are you aware those running the

jen, thanks for joining us today. thanks and thanks to you all for coming. it's a pleasure to be here. i'm going to start with just a broad overview of the main coverage provisions of the law and my fellow panelists will dig a little deeper on each of these issues. starting off. one of the main goals of the aca is to expand coverage to the uninsured and to improve the quality of coverage for those with private insurance. it does this by building on the base of our current system which is supported primarily through the employer sponsored insurance. it fills in the gaps in the current system. namely, it expands medicaid to cover more low income adults by establishing -- raising the eligibility threshold. ♪ just to note. the federal poverty level is that 11,000 dollars -- around $11,000. it also creates a new health insurance marketplace, where people can go to shop for and an role in private insurance. through these marketplaces premiums of these are available to people without access to other coverage, who have incomes between 100% and 400% of the poverty le

evidently the suspect is still out there jen. >> reporter: the the suspect is still out there. this stabbing happened inside a dining hall on campus at 2:00 o'clock yesterday afternoon and that rattled students and had them scared and nervous. but they tell us they feel okay because they do see a strong presence of security on campus. they say for the most part they feel safe here on the campus of lasalle university. stabbing happened again yesterday at 2:00 in the afternoon, police say a jack and jill ice cream delivery man was at lasalle's blue and gold dining hall. he went to wash his hand and he was stabbed in the shoulder by another man who then took off running. our chris o'connell was on campus yesterday and he talked to students who saw the the victim all bloody. they tried to help him until police arrived. >> my friend was in there. he yelled someone call 911 he has been stabbed. i wanted to see if something was going on. all of the cops called security. it was a white male they took out. he had pierced ears, beard. it looked like his right shoulder was stab. he did no
